Human Resources (HR) assists MTA employees with a complete range of services intended to maximize job satisfaction, opportunities for career growth and productivity. The department is organized into teams that address specific categories of employee needs, including: Benefits; Classification and Compensation; Employments Services; Medical Services and Utilization Review.
Our primary goal is to assure that MTA is optimally staffed with qualified, productive employees focused on working together to help the organization achieve its wide variety of goals and objectives.
Human Resources is also responsible for assuring that MTA complies with all federal and state laws, specific Governor’s Executive Orders on personnel actions, and Transportation Service Human Resources System (TSHRS) policies and hiring guidelines as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
