About the Project

The Charles & Light Street pilot project between Conway and Saratoga on Charles and Pratt and Lombard on Light will begin a six-month pilot this summer to evaluate the potential for improving passenger travel times, service reliability, and customer experience by testing peak hour dedicated bus lanes.

This pilot will differ from block to block either replacing a travel lane with a bus lane or narrowing travel lanes to create a bus lane. The bus lane will be clearly identified with signs and pavement marking. There will be few changes to existing parking or loading.

Performance will be measured by:

Travel Speeds

Crash Data

Stakeholder Feedback
