There will be a minor Penn Line schedule change on Monday, September 11. Amtrak is modifying their train schedules, which requires MARC to make a few minor adjustments. Printed copies of the new timetable will be available as soon as possible. We recommend downloading a copy of the new schedule at www.mta.maryland.gov/marc-penn-sept2023 . A full list of changes is provided below.

Weekday Northbound

--There are minor timing adjustments to most northbound trains between New Carrollton and Penn Station. The travel time between Washington and New Carrollton has been standardized at 12 minutes for all trains and subsequent station times have been adjusted 1-3 minutes.

--Train 404 (6:35am departure from Union Station) will no longer stop at BWI Airport or West Baltimore and will arrive at Penn Station five minutes earlier. This will help ensure an on-time departure for southbound Train 419 at 7:45am.

--Train 422 (currently the 1:15pm departure from Union Station) will depart all stations five minutes later.

Weekday Southbound

--Train 435 (currently the 2:35pm departure from Penn Station) will depart all stations between Baltimore and Bowie State University ten minutes later, will no longer stop at Seabrook, and will depart New Carrollton eight minutes later.

Weekend Southbound

--Train 677 will now operate on Sunday only.

--On Saturdays, the second southbound train will be renumbered to Train 685 and will operate 35 minutes later than Train 677. This is in response to customer requests to better space Saturday morning southbound service.

Weekend Northbound

--Train 478 will now operate on Sunday only.

--On Saturdays, the second northbound train will be renumbered to Train 480 and will operate 35 minutes later than Train 478 due to the later operation of Train 685.
