A safe and respectful environment is a shared commitment. The MTA’s Rider Code of Conduct provides the framework for this, and our reporting tools are a vital way to help everyone uphold those standards together.

Introducing the New See Say Mobile App. Report a safety concern instantly in the app.

Beginning Oct. 6, 2025, MTA will offer three easy ways for you to report a concern. While the MTA See Say® App is our preferred and most effective tool, you can choose the method that works best for you. Your report provides critical information to MTA Police to help enforce the "Rules of the Ride" and ensure a better experience for everyone.

Three Ways to Report a Concern

  1. The MTA See Say® App (Recommended)

The See Say® App is designed for quick and discreet reporting of issues that violate the Code of Conduct but do not require an immediate 911 response. This method offers the most features, including two-way communication with dispatchers.

    1. See a Violation: Witness someone violating the Code, such as playing loud music, or vaping on board.
    2. Open the App & Send a Report: In a few taps, you can send a message, photos, or videos directly to MTA Police dispatchers. The app lets you report a violation without making a phone call and drawing attention.
    3. Provide Key Details: Your report is sent instantly with your location. You can chat with a dispatcher to provide more information, such as the bus or train number and a description of the person.

Key Features of the See Say® Mobile App

    • Location-Based Intelligence: Integrated geo-location technology provides officers with a precise location paired with nearby transit vehicles and facilities — allowing for a faster and more accurate response.
    • Two-Way Communication: You can chat directly with a dispatcher through the app, providing more details and receiving instructions if necessary.
    • Anonymous Option: Reports can be submitted anonymously, so you can share information with confidence.
