MTA Police


On Saturday, September 16, 2023, & Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 8:00 am the police department of the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Maryland Transit Administration will be conducting testing for its next class of entry-level recruits. The MTA Police will allow persons interested in a career in law enforcement to walk-in and take the test. Testing will be conducted at MTA Police Headquarters located at 4701 Mt. Hope Drive in Baltimore starting at 8:00 a.m. Interested candidates should allow roughly six hours to complete the written test, physical agility, oral interview, and a pre-background screening. Candidates are encouraged to wear athletic attire and to bring a valid I.D. Candidates should complete this employment application prior to the test. To qualify, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, have at least a high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver’s license, must be 21 prior to graduation from the police academy and must not have committed or been convicted of a felony or serious misdemeanor.
