The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) will operate on the following schedule on December 25, 2024 & January 1, 2025

LocalLink & CityLink Routes:
Sunday/Holiday Schedule on December 25th & January 1st.

Metro Subway: 
Sunday/Holiday Schedule on December 25th & January 1st:
On New Year's Eve, Metro Subway will operate one hour after the fireworks display.
Please make your way promptly to the platforms.

Light Rail:   
Sunday/Holiday Schedule on December 25th & January 1st.
On New Year's Eve, Light Rail will operate one hour after the fireworks display.
Please make your way promptly to the platforms.

MARC Train:

December 23rd-24th and 26th-27th: R schedule on all three lines. To maintain hourly and late-night service to BWI Airport, the following additional Penn Line trains will operate:

  • Train 418 (11:15am dpt. Union Station)
  • Train 429 (11:35am dpt. Penn Station)
  • Train 422 (1:20pm dpt. Union Station)
  • Train 433 (1:35pm dpt. Penn Station)
  • Train 455 (8:45pm dpt. Penn Station) – Train 453 on December 27th (9:35pm dpt)
  • Train 454 (10:05pm dpt. Union Station) – Train 452 on December 27th (10:55pm dpt)

December 25th: No service

December 28th-29th: Normal weekend Penn Line service

December 30th-31st: R schedule on all three lines, plus the same supplemental Penn Line service listed above

January 1st: No service

January 2nd: Return to full service on all three lines.
 

Commuter Bus:

Tuesday, December 24th - Commuter Bus will operate “S” Schedule on all routes.

  • Route 230 – Trip 5 will operate at the regular scheduled time.

Wednesday, December 25th - Commuter Bus Service will NOT operate except Route 201.  Route 201 will operate the Weekend/Holiday “S” Schedule.

Thursday, December 26th - Friday, December 27th - Commuter Bus will operate the “S” Schedule. 

  • Route 230 – Trip 5 will operate at the regular scheduled time

Monday, December 30th – Tuesday, December 31st - Commuter Bus will operate the “S” Schedule. 

  • Route 230 – Trip 5 will operate at the regular scheduled time

Wednesday, January 1st - Commuter Bus will Not operate except Route 201 will operate the Weekend/Holiday “S” Schedule.   

 

Thursday, January 2nd - Commuter Bus will resume Full/Regular Service on all routes.
 

Mobility:

  • Sunday/Holiday Schedule on Dec.25th & Jan.1st.  No subscription trips on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
    If you would like to ride on Christmas or New Year’s, call the Mobility Call Center, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 410-764-8181 to schedule a ride.
  • The Certification Office on Patterson Avenue & Customer Care Office:  Closed December 25, 2024 and January 1, 2025
  • Reduced Fare Certification Office: (6 St. Paul Street) Closed on Dec.25th, & Jan. 1st

Transit Information Contact Center & Mondawmin Customer Service Center Booth: 

  • On Wednesday, Dec. 25th, in observance of Christmas Day, the Transit Information Contact Center and the Mondawmin Customer Service Center Booth will be closed.  The Transit Information Contact Center and The Mondawmin Customer Service Center Booth will return to normal business hours on Thursday, Dec. 26, 202
  • On Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in observance of New Year’s Day, the Transit Information Contact Center and the Mondawmin Customer Service Center Booth will be closed. The Transit Information Contact Center and Mondawmin Booth will return to normal business hours on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.

MTA Transit Store: Closed on Dec. 25th, & Jan. 1st

Reduced Fare Certification Office: (6 St. Paul Street) Closed on Dec.25th, & Jan. 1st
