FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
BALTIMORE, MD (January 26, 2026) – With improving weather and road conditions, the Maryland Transit Administration will expand local bus service on Tuesday, January 27 to include all CityLink routes, all LocalLinkbus routes and Express Bus #163 which serves Tradepoint Atlantic. All other Express Bus routes remain suspended.
Routes may continue to operate with detours if local streets remain difficult to access due to lingering snow and ice, limited roadway width or safety and accessibility concerns. We will continue to monitor conditions and adjust service as conditions improve. Employee availability may also impact service levels.
With the forecast of prolonged cold weather for the remainder of the week, we are reminding riders to dress warmly and to allow extra travel time as buses may need to travel slower on snow covered roads.
Riders can monitor the agency’s service alerts at https://www.mta.maryland.gov/service-alerts and on social media @mtamaryland for the most up-to-date service information.
