The MTA’s All Access Student Transit Pass allows enrolled students at participating Maryland area schools to purchase a 31-day transit pass for $57.00.

The All Access Student Transit Pass provides students with unlimited, discounted travel throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area, making it easy to get to school, shopping, sporting events, and other activities.

Who can sign up for the All Access Student Transit Pass?

The pass is available exclusively through the MTA’s CharmPass mobile app for students whose schools are enrolled in the program. Passes are not available for purchase by individual students if their school is not participating.

Students should check with their school administration to determine if their school participates. If a school is not enrolled, they can contact the MTA Office of Fare Collections at MTACharmPass@mta.maryland.gov for information and to sign up. Joining the program is free and easy.

Where can I use the pass?

The All Access Student Transit Pass is valid for unlimited use on MTA CityLink, LocalLink, Express BusLink, Light Rail, and Metro Subway thoughout the duration of the pass.

The MTA All Access Student Transit Pass is not accepted on MARC Train service.

Where can I buy an All Access Student Transit Pass?

MTA’s All Access Student Passes are exclusively available for purchase through the CharmPass mobile app. They are not sold at the MTA Transit Store or other pass sales locations.

The All Access Student Pass is a 31-day pass, not a standard monthly pass. This provides the flexibility to activate the pass whenever you need it and travel for 31 consecutive days.

Who is eligible to purchase an All Access Student Transit Pass?

  • To be eligible for the All Access Student Transit Pass, a student must be enrolled in the current school semester. The student's school or university determines enrollment eligibility and shares that information with the MTA.
  • Students who are not enrolled during a semester are not eligible to purchase a pass during that time.
  • A student should be prepared to show any required documentation requested by their school to validate eligibility. A student may only purchase a pass for themselves. The passes are not transferable and cannot be purchased for family, friends, or other students.
  • All Access Student Transit Passes are not available for purchase by faculty, school staff, or administration through our mobile app. However, the MTA does offer other pass options that schools can provide for their staff.
  • Students must have their student ID available for inspection whenever riding MTA services.
