Effective Sunday, December 8, 2019 between 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM, the City will host the Mayor’s Annual Christmas Parade in Hampden.

In preparation for this event, the following streets will be closed:
Falls Road from Hillside Road to West 36th Street
West 36th Street from Falls Road to Keswick Avenue, and
Chestnut Avenue from 34th Street to 37th Street, where the parade will end.

These closures will necessitate the following temporary diversions:


LocalLink 21

Northbound: Via the regular route on West 33rd Street to Keswick Road, then:
Right on Keswick Road
Left on 40th Street to Roland Avenue
Straight on 41st Street, then via the regular northbound route

Southbound: Via the regular route on West 41st Street to Roland Avenue
LocalLinks 21 and 22 should use breaks in the parade at Falls Road, then:
Straight on West 40th Street
Right on Keswick Road
Left on West 33rd Street, then via the regular route.

Northbound: Via the regular route on West 33rd Street to Keswick Road, then:
Right on Keswick Road
Left on 40th Street
Right on Roland Avenue
Left on Northern Parkway
Right on Falls Road, then via the regular route.

Southbound: Via the regular route on Falls Road to Northern Parkway, then: Left on Northern Parkway
Right on Roland Avenue
Left on 40th Street
Right on Keswick Road
Left on 33rd Street, then via the regular route.


Passenger Stop Instructions:

Operators will board and discharge passengers at all regularly established stops along the diversion route, where safe to do so, except in advance of a left turn.
