Description:

Amtrak will be rebuilding the platform at New Carrollton station starting on Monday, April 24 and half of the platform will be closed for construction. This will significantly limit the number of doors that will open when MARC Trains stop at New Carrollton - all doors will not open, as they currently do.

Passengers traveling to New Carrollton should only exit the train where they see a uniformed MARC Train conductor, any door without a train crew member will not open. Passengers are encouraged to listen to on-train announcements and if you are not certain which doors will open at New Carrollton, ask a Conductor when you board the train or when they collect your ticket.
