The Pension Board, appointed by the Maryland Transit Administrator, has fiduciary responsibility for ensuring that the Maryland Transit Administration Pension Plan is administered in accordance with the pension plan document and in the best interest of plan participants and beneficiaries. The Pension Board is also charged with complying with applicable laws and regulations and maintaining the plan’s status as a qualified defined benefit pension plan.

The Pension Board currently consists of the following employees of the Maryland Transit Administration.

  • Chief Financial Officer
  • Director – Office of Human Resources, Chair
  • Director – Office of Labor and Employee Relations
  • Deputy Chief Financial Officer

The Pension Board meets periodically to fulfill its duties. Notices of Pension Board meetings, proposed agendas, and meeting minutes will be posted on this site.
