Rail Service Delays Expected at Union Station Due To  Amtrak and VRE Cancellations

Hurricane Florence to Impact MARC Train Service

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

BALTIMORE, MD (September 12, 2018) – Due to Amtrak and VRE’s cancellations of southbound trains because of Hurricane Florence, MARC trains will experience delays arriving and departing Union Station Thursday, September 13. At this time, the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) will run a full-service schedule for MARC Train on Thursday. MDOT MTA is closely monitoring the progression of Hurricane Florence as it approaches the Carolinas.

Decisions regarding a reduction or curtailment of MARC Train Service on Friday will be made when a clear picture of the potential impact on the area becomes available.
