MARC Camden and Penn Line Trains Will Operate Full Service During Peak Periods to/from Washington, D.C., This Afternoon, June 28

MARC Riders Should Expect Delays

BALTIMORE, MD (JUNE 28, 2017) – The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) MARC Train Camden and Penn lines will operate full service during peak periods this afternoon along the entire routes into and out of Washington Union Station.

Trains still may be delayed from 10 minutes to more than an hour due to speed restrictions in the area and an ongoing National Transportation Safety Board investigation.

MARC riders experienced major delays and some cancellations earlier today due to an incident involving an Amtrak train just north of Union Station resulting in two fatalities.

For this afternoon’s service, MARC riders are asked to remain inside the Union Station waiting room until trains are posted for boarding.

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Metrorail also will continue to honor MARC Train tickets.

For inquiries about the incident or investigation, please contact Amtrak or CSX.
