Penn Line schedule change: March 10

There will be a schedule change on the Penn Line effective Saturday, March 10.  Amtrak trackwork will begin between Odenton and Bowie State stations. There are numerous changes to weekday trains at most stations between Baltimore and Washington and to several weekend trains. All trains may experience delays of 5 to 10 minutes while operating through the trackwork area.

Weekday southbound

  • All southbound trains have internal timing adjustments to reflect the trackwork projects.
  • Train 505 (4:40am departure from Perryville) departs FIVE MINUTES EARLIER
  • Train 523 (8:10am departure from Perryville) becomes Train 525 and departs Perryville 25 minutes later.  This train WILL NOT stop at Seabrook.
  • The 9:01am departure from Penn Station will become Train 423.
  • Train 433 (1:35pm departure from Penn Station) will depart FIVE MINUTES EARLIER.
  • Train 439 (3:45pm departure from Penn Station) will depart THREE MINUTES EARLIER.

Weekday Northbound

  • Train 554 (5:40am departure from Baltimore to Perryville) will depart FIFTEEN MINUTES EARLIER.
  • Train 406 (7:10am departure from Union Station) becomes Train 410 and will operate fifteen minutes later.
  • Train 412 (9:05am departure from Union Station) will depart FIVE MINUTES EARLIER.
  • Amtrak 148 (3:05pm departure from Union Station for MARC weekly and monthly passholders only to Aberdeen) will operate TEN MINUTES EARLIER.
  • Train 428 (4:10pm departure from Union Station) will depart FIVE MINUTES EARLIER.
  • Train 634 (4:45pm departure from Union Station) will depart TWO MINUTES EARLIER.
  • Train 446 (6:45pm departure from Union Station) will depart twenty minutes later
  • Amtrak 188 (7:10pm departure from Union Station for MARC weekly and monthly passholders only to Aberdeen) will be renumbered to Train 186 and will operate TEN MINUTES EARLIER.
  • Train 448 (7:40pm departure from Union Station) will depart fifteen minutes later

Saturday southbound

  • Train 677 still departs Martin Airport at 8:05am, but will departs Baltimore and all stations to Washington fifteen minutes later.
  • Train 487 (1:55pm departure from Penn Station) will operate ten minutes later.
  • A special schedule will be in effect on Saturday, March 24 and will be posted online by March 14.

Saturday northbound

  • Train 478 (10:02am departure from Union Station) will depart twelve minutes later
  • Train 688 (4:10pm departure from Union Station) will depart ten minutes later
  • Train 490 (4:50pm departure from Union Station) will depart five minutes later
  • A special schedule will be in effect on Saturday, March 24 and will be posted online by March 14.

Sunday southbound

  • Train 683 (10:45am departure from Martin Airport / 11:05am departure from Penn Station) will depart TEN MINUTES EARLIER
  • Train 487 (1:55pm departure from Penn Station) will operate ten minutes later.

Sunday northbound

  • Trains 484, 488, and 694 (12:40, 3:40, and 7:00pm departures from Union Station) will all depart fifteen minutes later
